Introduction to Resin Pendants

In this class you will learn about the different types of resins and their uses as well as safety, set-up, supplies, molds, finishing, and troubleshooting. You will each complete two pendants that you can take home with two different types of epoxy resins and two methods. I will have on hand a wide variety of things you can use in your pendants but feel free to bring small items you might want to embed (ie. candy, small metal items, foliage (dried), pictures (no originals-photocopies work ok, glitter, anything you can think of that is dry and small). As well I will provide you with a a list of books and materials that may be useful.

Riveted Pendant and Earrings

Learn how to create a fabulous pendant and earring set using simple cold connections (rivets!). Play with different hammers and punches to create interesting textures, and learn how to apply a patina to make those textures pop! You will learn to use wire and tube rivets giving you the techniques you need to create exciting jewelry with a minimum of tools!
