Introduction to Resin Pendants

In this class you will learn about the different types of resins and their uses as well as safety, set-up, supplies, molds, finishing, and troubleshooting. You will each complete two pendants that you can take home with two different types of epoxy resins and two methods. I will have on hand a wide variety of things you can use in your pendants but feel free to bring small items you might want to embed (ie. candy, small metal items, foliage (dried), pictures (no originals-photocopies work ok, glitter, anything you can think of that is dry and small). As well I will provide you with a a list of books and materials that may be useful.

Previous participants stated that they learned a lot in my class and had fun too!

Resin Bangles

In this class I will be discussing resins and their uses, safety, molds, colourants, embedments, finishing and troubleshooting.

I show students how to make resin bangles using two different types of resins-quick setting urethane resin and slower setting epoxy resin. Students will come away with two bracelets, one completed in class.

Students are encouraged to bring small items to embed in the bracelets if they wish. No original photographs or wet organic material.

Please bring a smock, apron or old shirt to work in, and a flat bottomed container to carry home projects (at least 5" X 5").
